While at
Cornell, Zevi's research focuses on the study of Binary and Combinatorial Optimization
problems, in particular cluster and corridor knapsack problems, in the areas of water resource and watershed management in New York State and
modeling the housing reconstruction location in Aceh, Indonesia. He has been a guest
lecturer in Geographic Information System courses at Cornell, and
recently provided his GIS expertise by creating maps and satellite
images for
Aceh Relief Fund, a nonprofit organization which he co-founded. He
received several scholarship awards for academic excellencies, including
from the Asian Development Bank, Intelligent Information Systems
Institute, Cornell's CIPA and CISER. He is now working at the Ministry of Public Works of Indonesia.
